Control Room Software Integration
Connect TetherX to your Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) for professional 24/7 monitoring with video verification and rapid response.
Each platform is set up on its own page. This article covers what the integration gives you and how the two halves, alarms and live video, fit together.
Supported Platforms
| Platform | How it connects | Setup |
|---|---|---|
| IMMIX (opens in a new tab) | Alarms by email, with verification images, plus live view URLs | IMMIX Integration |
| HikCentral (opens in a new tab) | Alarms raised straight in HikCentral as generic events, or by email like IMMIX | HikCentral Integration |
| Sentinel (opens in a new tab) | The same email integration as IMMIX | IMMIX Integration |
| CONXTD (opens in a new tab) | Alarm panel events reported directly to CONXTD, with video inside the CONXTD platform | CONXTD Integration |
| Patriot Systems (opens in a new tab) | Alarms sent to Patriot's own interface, confirmed as each one is recorded | Patriot Systems Integration |
Why Integrate?
| Benefit | Description |
|---|---|
| Secure Communication | All communication is encrypted. No need to keep firmware up to date or expose local networks to external threats. See our Security Whitepaper. |
| Easy Setup | Enter the control room's details once within TetherX - not per camera or per recorder. |
| No Port Forwarding | No need to work with local IT teams to open ports. No risk of future network changes breaking the setup. |
| No Static IP Required | Works with cellular/4G/5G connections and corporate networks with strict IT policies. |
| Reliable Setup | Replace a camera or recorder, reset a router, or make network changes - everything keeps working. |
| Reliable Signalling | Alarms are never silently dropped. If an alarm cannot be reported, a health alert is raised. |
| Better Alerts | TetherX generates more and higher quality images for operators, plus richer event metadata via on-device TetherX AI (people, vehicles, animals, glass break, alarms, and more). |
| More Alerts | Detect unplugged network devices, plus various health checks and reports. |
| Better Device Compatibility | Highest quality data regardless of manufacturer, model, or firmware - even with devices not directly compatible with your alarm monitoring software. |
Reporting Alarms
Alarms are set up per site. Open the site, choose the tab for your platform, and enter the details your control room provides. Every field saves as you finish editing it, so there is no Save button to press.
Once a site is set up, all TetherX AI detections (people, vehicles, animals, glass break, alarms, and more), camera analytics (object unattended, intrusion, line crossing) and VMD Events are reported to the control room with pre and post capture snapshots.
A site can report to more than one platform at a time, which is how you run a trial of one while the other stays live.
Adding Live Video
Live view is the same for every platform: TetherX gives you one URL per camera, and your control room software opens it as it would any other feed.
- Go to the Control Rooms page
- Copy the URL for each camera, or use Copy All to take the lot as a spreadsheet
- Add the URL to your control room software configuration
The page opens on the cameras that are ready, meaning the ones with a URL that plays right now. Switch the State filter to All to see the cameras that are offline or whose stream is in error, with the reason each one has no URL.
The URLs belong to the account that copied them and stop working if that account is removed, so we recommend creating a dedicated user for your control room.
