Supported Devices and Integrations
TetherX brings site systems into one event workflow, so video, alarms, access events and device health can be reviewed together.

Start with the equipment you need to connect.
| Equipment or system | What TetherX supports | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Cameras and recorders | ONVIF, RTSP and HTTP streams, plus selected native integrations | Camera Compatibility |
| Alarm panels | SIA DC-09 and Contact ID signal receiving, or Texecom serial control | Alarm Panel Integration |
| Access control | Paxton Net2 and scoped integrations through the API | Paxton Net2 Integration |
| Control-room software | IMMIX, HikCentral, CONXTD and Patriot Systems | Control Room Software Integration |
| Relays, sensors and displays | IP, serial, API and supported controller connections | site-devices-and-automation |
Cameras and Video Devices
TetherX supports ONVIF-compliant cameras and recorders, and devices that provide RTSP or HTTP streams. It can discover compatible ONVIF devices automatically; add other streams manually. Native integrations with manufacturers such as LILIN, Hikvision and Dahua can add device-specific analytics or event handling.
Tip: If a camera is not in the compatibility list, check whether it provides ONVIF, RTSP or HTTP before ruling it out.
Use Camera Compatibility to check a manufacturer or model. Older analogue cameras can connect through a suitable encoder. For PTZ, two-way audio and horn speakers, see Talkdown.
Alarm Panels and Access Control
An alarm panel normally connects through its IP communicator. Alarm Signal Receiving accepts SIA DC-09 and Contact ID reports, then presents the alarm with related video and site context. A Texecom panel can also connect directly by serial cable for live zone state, arming, disarming, bypassing and virtual-keypad control. See Alarm Panel Integration to choose the route.
Paxton Net2 provides door events, user management, access levels and event creation. For another access-control system, use the API or contact TetherX to scope the integration.
Site Devices and Automation
TetherX can connect the supporting devices around a site:
- Relays and sensors for ANPR and other automation. See ANPR Whitelist with IP Relay.
- Matrix displays using SDHX, HX, HXE or a C-Power controller. See Matrix Displays.
- Managed switches and wireless bridges through SNMP or a supported API, for health monitoring and port power cycling.
- Cellular routers and Linux-compatible USB modems for site connectivity. Use established hardware from suppliers such as Teltonika or Ubiquiti.
- Serial devices and IoT equipment through a compatible interface or the API.
Tip: Use established cellular routers or modems for a recording site. Budget USB modems can be unreliable under continuous use.
Control Rooms and Custom Integrations
Connect TetherX to IMMIX, HikCentral, CONXTD or Patriot Systems. The Control Room Software Integration guide explains the control-room options.
For a device or platform not listed here, contact TetherX with the manufacturer, model, connection method and outcome you need. We can confirm the best existing route or scope a deeper integration.
